  • Job Overview

    The Finance Manager position is expected to provide data driven insights to support a wide range of activities from operational decision making to organizational strategy with a significant focus on performance predictability. This individual will develop an in-depth knowledge of the business areas supported (i.e. structure, objectives, product portfolio, budgets, forecasts, etc.) and use this knowledge to identify trends, interpret key business trends and influence decision making.  This will be supported through financial modeling and fact-based analyses while highlighting risk and opportunities. 

     

    What you will do:

    • Partner with Supply Chain on contract manufacturer semi-annual business reviews to create per model pricing targets incorporating productivity, currency/commodity fluctuations, and labor rate changes 
    • Act as finance lead on tier 1 and tier 2 supplier integrations
    • Own pricing variances and identify mitigation plans for risks in order to deliver the annual operating plan; develop processes to track results and inform key decision makers
    • Collaborate across the Finance function on annual standard setting process to give clear visibility on inflationary factors and expected model level price changes
    • Provide thoughtful leadership and influence executive level decision making through deep analytical insight into core business decisions
    • Perform detailed analyses and provide insight and summaries to Senior Management based on data from a variety of internal sources
    • Track local service activities subject to intercompany service fees and work with corporate accounting to promptly and accurately bill those fees
    • Assist corporate accounting with annual audit in Singapore and Malaysia, act as local liaison with auditors and tax accountants
    • Collaborate with the Company’s financial services organization to ensure proper onboarding of local suppliers, on-time processing of vendor bills and expense reports.
    • Collaborate with finance and accounting counterparts as well as business partners to understand performance drivers and business impacts of isolated events
    • Develop and track key metrics to signal business health to leadership
    • Provide financial analysis models, and guidance on the appliance portfolio to help drive decision making and strategic direction
    • Create and maintain process documentation
    • Organize data from the company’s various data-base repositories to create/refresh financial models
    • Support internal customer requests and any ad hoc analysis
    • Perform other job related duties as requested by management 

    Requirements

    What you must have: 

    Candidate must be a self-starter, have solid broad-based finance skills and must possess strong leadership and teamwork skills. Additional qualifications include:

    • Education/Experience:
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
      • 7+ years related work experience (Finance) as well as broad business knowledge
      • Financial experience including budgeting, forecasting, planning, and analysis
        Knowledge of Singapore GAAP and IFRS
      • Ability to work in a global, US-based company 
    • Technical and Other Skills:
      • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
      • Demonstrated competency in use of financial, planning and reporting software platforms (SAP, Hyperion & Anaplan a plus)
      • Proficient in fundamentals of Corporate Finance and modeling of business scenarios
      • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
