    Manager of Programmatic Media is responsible for defining strategies and building annual consumer brand media plans for our portfolio of brands by understanding the consumer’s needs to drive relevance and loyalty to our brands.   This person will have manage multiple brands with multiple campaigns and will report into the Sr. Director of Media. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of digital media experience and a leadership style that fuses inspiration with a passion for making a difference.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Support a High-Performing Team

    • Deploy general manager mindset to drive media strategies. Leverage strong commercial knowledge and business acumen to deliver annual brand programmatic plans.
    • Deliver strong coaching of internal media team members, media partners and agency[s] through situational leadership and candid growth conversations.
    • Inspire others to take action through authentic leadership, passion, and commitment to winning.

     

    Develop and execute programmatic media strategy

    • Partner with brand & data science teams to determine audience strategies and goals
    • Proactively collaborate with National media team to properly supplement/compliment National/Local media campaigns
    • Act as subject matter expert within DPSG marketing for programmatic and related media functions
    • Plan, place and execute brand programmatic media across numerous brands and campaigns. Execution

    Manage DSP partner(s) and their managed services teams

    • Manage KDP seats teams within each DSP to properly execute programmatic media plans, strategies, optimization metrics, budgets, and audiences with each campaign exceeding $1MM+
    • Oversee day-to-day optimization strategies and campaign pacing; gain deep understanding of platforms and management of campaigns through hands-on training and consistent dialogue
    • Manage DMP team to ensure proper tagging of DPSG brand sites as well as all media placements for accurate tracking and data collection
    • Execute ad operations functions (site tags, media tags, viewability tags, tag QA, and tag trafficking) together with & Initiative team

    Work with BlueKai DMP platform and audience segments

    • Partner with Initiative and internal teams (Media, Data Science, Insights, Brand) to determine and act upon learning and measurement agendas
    • Oversee data collection structure and taxonomy within the DMP
    • Oversee the creation and syndication of audiences within the DMP in conjunction with Brand goals and Media objectives
    • Integrate Reach and Frequency monitoring, optimization, and reporting within the DMP through 3rd party partner
    • Facilitate sharing of data and reporting within the DMP to inform Insights and Media teams

    Lead ongoing education and learning objectives within media team and broader marketing organization

    • Grow our functional understanding and proficiency within the programmatic ecosystem to allow for further efficiencies
    • Transition from managed service to hands on keyboard buying
    • Train local media buyers to help them become proficient within the DSP platform(s)

    Measure Success

    • Own and Manage brand marketing budgets working with cross-functional partners, including finance to deliver on target.
    • Set high performance standards, measure for success, and adjust plan to deliver against growth agenda.
    • Lead post-launch analyses for initiatives
    • Responsible for ensuring all data requests related to programmatic media are met before launch based on pre-determined learning agenda
    • Manage agency contacts and ensure proper data elements are made available within the DPSG data visualization platform

    Requirements

     

    • Bachelor's degree preffered
    • 3+ years of digital media experience with 2+ years of programmatic media
    • Strong working knowledge of buy side process and technologies including surveys, data collection, verifications, cookie matching and exchanges
    • Strong analytical skills; ability analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations
    • Highly organized and detailed-oriented with ability to manage you own agenda
    • This role is based at the KDP Plano, TX office location.
