  • Job Overview

    This position supports the Licensing Department by mapping KDP bottler and distributor territories for each KDP trademark.  This position leverages Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and advanced analytical skills to develop maps and reports to visualize complex licensing data and communicate territory transactions.  This position also contributes to data integrity of the Beverage Concentrates organization by providing visibility, data cleansing, and analysis into the bottler territory, sales reporting, and chain/store data.  This individual reports to the Director of Licensing.   

     

    Responsibilities:

    1. KDP Licensing Maps (50%)
    • Develop and maintain standard national and state maps for all KDP trademarks by the licensed territory descriptions and maintain the KDP Map Portal. Monitor automated mapping functions and troubleshoot errors.  Develop PowerPoint presentations of KDP trademark and bottler maps as required by senior leadership.
    1. Custom Maps and Analysis (30%)
    • Maintain working knowledge of licensing territories and related databases to respond to business mapping needs of Licensing, Beverage Concentrates, and National Account customers. Provide support to the Licensing Team in the creation of custom maps and reports to support strategic route to market initiatives.  Analyze bottler sales reporting and servicing territory data to create maps and ZIP code data extracts.
    1. GIS Technology Maintenance and New Product Development (10%)
    • Track ArcGIS users and licenses and maintain demographic data and territory boundaries. Provide software support and training as necessary for the map portal.  Evaluate and implement new GIS technology to support KDP mapping initiatives.  Collaborate with 3rd party vendors and KDP IT to develop new mapping resources to support KDP initiatives.
    1. Bottle Per Cap Maps (5%)
    • Develop and maintain bottle per cap maps within the KDP Map Portal. Integrate sales data extracts into ArcGIS to update per cap maps on a quarterly basis.
    1. Developing People (5%)
    • Provide training and support to ArcGIS users and develop backup support personnel within the Licensing Department.

    • Ability to meet and deliver annual objectives in relationship to Licensing projects.
    • Solid customer service skills to assist Licensing, Beverage Concentrates, and National Accounts staff
    • Aptitude to analyze territory and sales data, effectively develop maps, and communicate effectively with Licensing and other departments
    • Sound oral and written communication skills
    • Willingness to assist others within a focused team environment
    • Drive to gather new knowledge and distribute that knowledge to the team

    • Positive interaction with Licensing Department, Beverage Concentrates, National Accounts Team, IT, and 3rd party contractors.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred or equivalent work experience 
    • Expertise in Esri ArcGIS software
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment while ensuring high quality execution
    • Excellent work ethic and desire to learn and provide value to our team/customers
    • Proficiency in MS Office (All Applications)
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Ability to interpret and comprehend complex territory descriptions and documents
    • MS Access, Oracle, and SAP database knowledge is beneficial
    • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of KDP route to market helpful
