    Senior Data Architect

    Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a passionate Senior Data Architect to help our connected division develop a data architecture strategy and roadmap. A key component of this effort is a data warehouse strategy to create valuable new analytics products for internal and external customers using business intelligence/analytics tools running on a big data infrastructure.

    • Defines the Connected architectural vision and blueprints for all Big Data and Analytical platform (Microsoft Azure ) solutions, through major, complex IT architecture projects; ensures that the architecture will meet strategic and immediate operational needs.
    • Develops data architecture technology road map, while keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, and recommends business direction based on these technologies.
    • Provides technical leadership and is responsible for leading development of the overall systems design. Translates complex business problems into sound technical solutions.
    • Applies software design theories and principles in researching, designing, and developing product software interfaces.
    • Acts as an advisor and mentor to junior team members.
    • Influences various stakeholders across the organization to achieve departmental and Division goals.
    • Works across Divisions with other Data Management team members to achieve consistency and synergy corporate-wide.







    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant business discipline required
    • 10+ years of work experience in information and data architecture, data sourcing and distribution analysis and design, message and transformation design, and data modeling.
    • 10+ years of work experience with conceptual and logical data modeling (relational and dimensional)
    • 5+ years of demonstrable technical lead/project management experience.
    • Strong understanding of information and data and reporting architectural concepts and design.
    • Ability to work effectively across a matrixed environment and influence without formal authority
    • Ability to lead change and inspire flexibility amongst stakeholder groups.
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal, influence, negotiation, and written and verbal communication skills required.
    • Able to express complex technical information to non-technical audiences
    • Expert data modeling tool user
    • In-depth understanding of MS SQL Server Relational Database Management software including expert proficiency in T-SQL
    • Can write clean, understandable, and testable SQL and stored procedures
    • Can maintain and troubleshoot existing, complex SQL and stored procedures
    • Expert in Azure services and platform development
    • Expert in MuleSoft API development
    • Expert in PowerBI development
    • Knowledge of Digital asset management such as Adobe DAM


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Significant previous experience in a leadership role defining large scale information architectures. Ideally looking for someone who was involved in shaping information architecture strategy, data sourcing and distribution projects, data management, and big data adoption
    • Experience in leading data and information architecture activities and working with micro services, data sourcing APIs, big data, etc.
    • Ability to facilitate and drive data governance activities across traditional and emerging data technologies. Lead the adoption of data standards through example and helping application teams incorporate these standards in their work.
    • Experience with data warehouse modeling, operational reports and data stores, BI reports, data replication, ETL technologies, data archival, purging and retrieval implementations.
    • Experience in Architecture tools selection and usage.
    • Command of Agile software development life cycle methodologies.
    • Hands on experience with data modeling, database configuration, and reference data management.
    • Experience launching/running data governance initiatives
    • Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g. Redshift, Azure, BigQuery, Snowflake) infrastructure and services
    • Experience building database prototypes for proof-of-concept evaluations
    • Best Practices Around How To Plan, Design, Build, Manage And Share APIs.
    • Strong background and experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, SQL Server, .NET, C#)
    • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. CosmosDB, Redis, etc.)
