  • Job Overview

    The Manager, Marketing ROI Analytics will lead the development of marketing mix and other statistical models that help our business understand which investments drive our sales. This individual is responsible for applying quantitative methods to assess the impact of brand marketing executions across media, consumer engagement and sponsorships. S/he will work closely with outside vendors and internal stakeholders on all aspects of project work including preparation of data (internal and syndicated sources), model development, interpretation and recommendations on how we can optimize portfolio marketing investments.

     

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collect, organize, process and validate data from a variety of vendors and data sources for modeling. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure historic marketing data is accurate
    • Interpret vendor-built marketing mix models leveraging all data to properly reflect marketing investment spend. Interpret and validate model results
    • Run optimization and simulation scenarios to help provide the marketing investment and allocation recommendations
    • Prepare presentation decks with summary results of statistical analysis for internal stakeholder reviews
    • Work closely with the strategy and marketing investments team for data sharing and best practice implementation
    • Develop process to improve data gathering, analysis and deliverable

    Skills:   

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, influencing skills and presentation skills. Proven ability to interact with senior level management across functions
    • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, particularly with application of statistical and quantitative tools
    • Detail-oriented and capable of leading mission-critical projects while meeting deadlines
    • Enjoy being “hands-on” with data and modeling; passionate about measurement and advances in causal modeling
    • Media planning and/or marketing mix modeling experience a strong plus
    • Experience with IRI or Nielsen syndicated data and/or media data a plus
    • Experience with statistical analysis software such as SAS, SPSS, STATA, PYTHON or R is preferred
    • Comfortable working with ambiguity
    • Skilled at Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
    • Up to date with cutting edge (and bleeding edge) measurement techniques and research

    Requirements

    • 3-5 years’ experience in marketing mix modeling, measurement, attribution, and/or causal modeling
    • At least 2 years experience directly leading modeling development projects (full-cycle)
    • Understand the Bayesian framework and how to apply Bayesian methods in measurement scenarios
    • Graduate degree in Business (with quantitative emphasis), Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related field
