    Technical Utility Operator 

    The Technical Utility Operator provides mechanical assistance to the line, including but not limited to accurately maintaining parts and equipment history, weld and complete fabrications, and making repairs during breakdowns

     

    Shift and Schedule

    The Technical Utility Operator is located in our Irving, TX facility and operates on the 2nd shift. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required. 

     

    Position Responsibilities

    • Understands entire line operation and offers assistance where necessary
    • Maintains the lines with supplies needed for production
    • Supports Electro-Mechanical Technician (EMT) with electrical/mechanical breakdowns
    • Supports other operators on PM, adjustment and repair procedures, and changeovers of line equipment for different products and/or sizes
    • Assumes responsibility of the line in the absence of the lead and can operate all equipment on the line
    • Assists the training of new operators
    • Performs monthly safety inspections
    • Provides breaks to operators
    • Plan and carry out line improvement projects
    • Operate a forklift as required
    • Highly motivated in supporting a safe, efficient, and successful workplace
    • 5s and Total Productive Maintenance activities
    • Ability to work in a team environment and serve as a role model

     

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
    • Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
    • Push and pull up to 100 lbs repeatedly
