  • Job Overview

    The VP, Executive Creative Director will build and lead the KDP’s internal creative agency. The ideal candidate will bring 15-20 years’ experience working across disciplines at a top tier advertising agency. The primary responsibility for the role is working in partnership with Marketing leadership to set the vision for the agency and the family of brands it supports.  This leader will lead a 60+ person team in developing the full suite of creative to support KDP beverage brands.

     

    The role is targeted to be based at the KDP Plano, TX office location or the MA office. Relocation to the Dallas-Fort Worth or Boston area is required with 25%-50% travel.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Inspire, direct, and motivate a team of 40 highly talented designers, copywriters, integrated producers, art directors, stylists, photographers, and editors in creating breakthrough creative work.
    • Scale the agency model by managing, mentoring, developing, and recruiting top creative talent across three offices. 
    • Employ a managing director mindset to drive business strategies and position the internal agency for long-term success.  
    • Lead efforts to develop and deploy creative campaigns across all media channels.
    • Refine and lead agency vision, mission, and culture development.

    • Drive internal awareness of design trends, advertising technologies, innovative media, and shifts in pop culture to ensure the creation of relevant and useful products, messages, or branding. 
    • Champion bold, transformative ideas and tether them to strategy. 
    • Think conceptually and ideate for holistic and digitally powered brand campaigns.  
    • Anticipate the future direction of the beverage industry using both research and own insight, and bring the company into the fore of that trajectory.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • A stunning portfolio of award-winning work from successful design programs and advertising campaigns.
    • Your right brain loves creativity and design in all of its forms, while your left brain loves finding simple solutions to complex challenges.
    • 20+ years of experience working in a creative field, with a focus on marketing, advertising, branding, or communications.
    • 10+ years of experience managing a multi-disciplinary creative team in an agency or client-side environment.
    • A high level of visual literacy / understanding of typography, illustration, color theory, and photography.
    • a bonfire of conceptual leadership with a deep understanding of copy, immersive storytelling, and the photography and film production processes.
    • An entrepreneurial spirit and a communication style that inspires others, and extinguishes conflict.
